About this file

This document is a set of instructions for obtaining a Certificate of Good Standing from the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, which must be submitted as part of a bid response for a Commonwealth of Massachusetts solicitation. The certificate demonstrates the bidder's compliance with Massachusetts tax laws and is required prior to the final execution of the Standard Contract Form. The solicitation is for the provision of licensing exam and continuing education goods and services to the Massachusetts Division of Insurance for the licensure of insurance producers and other license types.

The instructions outline the information that must be included when requesting the Certificate of Good Standing, such as the bidder's name, address, telephone number, and the reason for the request. The certificate normally takes several weeks to obtain, so bidders are advised to indicate in their request that the certificate is being sought in connection with a Commonwealth solicitation with a deadline. If the bidder does not submit the certificate with the bid response, they must provide documentation verifying that the appropriate application has been filed, and the certificate must be provided prior to the final execution of the contract.
