About this file
This document is a detailed technical specification for site furnishings replacement at multiple Bureau of Land Management (BLM) recreation sites in the Coeur d'Alene, Idaho area. The project involves replacing existing site infrastructure across six recreation sites: Beauty Bay, Blackwell Island, Huckleberry, Killarney Lake, Mica Bay, and Mineral Ridge. Specific replacement items include 96 picnic tables (ADA/ABA accessible), fire rings, barbecue grills (both large and small), and concrete deadhead anchors, all manufactured by RJ Thomas Manufacturing (Pilot Rock).
The specification provides comprehensive details on product requirements, including precise dimensional specifications, material composition, and installation instructions. Each site has unique replacement requirements, with options for removing and replacing existing concrete anchors, picnic tables, fire rings, and barbecue grills. The project emphasizes ADA accessibility, durability for outdoor recreation settings, and specific installation methods involving concrete footings and galvanized chains. The furnishings will be constructed from materials like perforated steel, with protective coatings such as high-temperature black enamel and hot-dip galvanizing, and are designed to withstand extreme weather conditions typical of the region.
