About this file
This document appears to be a set of responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) related to a federal contract opportunity for a Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) system at Buildings 1471 and 1840 at Peterson Space Force Base.
The key details include:
- This is a new requirement with no incumbent contractor.
- The CCTV system is required to meet physical security and antiterrorism standards, not TAA or NDAA compliance.
- Detailed camera, cabling, and mounting specifications are provided in Figure 1.1, which lists the required equipment and quantities.
- Existing cabling and pathways may be reused depending on site conditions.
- Monitors of varying sizes are required for the two buildings.
- Integration with the base security system is not required for Building 1840.
- There are no brand or model preferences, but the system must be compatible with the base infrastructure.
- A minimum of 96-hour video retention is required, with all storage to be on-site and not cloud-based.
- The estimated performance period is 30 days, which can be conducted simultaneously across the two buildings.

3. Could you please provide the required specifications for the cameras? SEE Figure 1.1 based on a previous walkthrough.
Responses Building 1840
4) To my knowledge CCTV cabling is not in conduit but is above suspended ceiling.
5) USSF standard issue suspended ceiling with 24”x24” acoustic ceiling tile.
6) Standard commercial construction steel framing and sheetrock.
7) only if unable to use existing cabling route
8) Approx 15’ (exterior camera outside of front lobby)

Responses Building 1471 For Building 1471:
12. Exterior Conduit total length is 300’-500’: path dependent. No existing conduit. Exterior mounting points are cap flashing over wood parapet.
13. Sheetrock and stud by SCIF doors and cinderblock wall in back staircase.
14. Reuse existing penetrations
15. ~25’
16. Depending on location of NVR (~200’)
17. Depending on location of NVR (~25’-50’)
1. Exterior cameras were removed during recent roof replacement. (3 interior cameras will be demo’ed)
1. All cameras lines have been free run inside; existing lines can be reused if applicable.
1. MON1 – 55” / MON2 – 42-48” / MON3 – 55” (See attached (Note: connection to Monitor #3 on first floor – recommend converting to COAX Cable to utilize internal existing distribution.
1. Integration at this time – NO / I do not have that information
1. No preference / Base preferences are unknown by us. – The proposal from Adnoiner was for a system that would readily integrate with the existing base system.
1. Recording retention time is highly flexible. Storage must be internal and on-site / No cloud-based and no WIFI.
1. Building 1840 Camera Requirements: Could you provide the specific number and type of cameras required for Building 1840? While the PWS mentions new devices, it lacks details on exact specifications. SEE FIGURE 1.1
1. Camera Demolition: How many cameras in both Buildings 1840 and 1471 are slated for removal as part of the project?
1. Cabling Specifications: What type of cabling is required for each camera, SEE FIGURE 1.1 and are there existing pathways we can utilize, YES or will new pathways need to be created? MAYBE DEPENDING ON FIELD CONDITIONS AND TECHNICIAN’S ONSITE EVALUATION
1. Monitor Screen Size: What screen size is required for the monitors to be installed in both buildings? 1840: min: 50” max: 60”
1. Integration with Base Security System: For the CCTV system at Building 1471, should the system be integrated with the Base Security Force’s system during this phase? Could you provide details about the specific system the Base Security Force is using to ensure compatibility? N/A to 1840
1. System Compatibility and Brand Preferences: Are there any specific brand or model preferences for the CCTV cameras, DVR systems, or monitors that need to align with existing base infrastructure? SEE FIGURE 1.1
1. DVR Recording Retention: What is the required retention time for the DVR system? Is there flexibility regarding storage, such as cloud-based solutions versus local storage? Recommend 96 hour absolute minimum retention to cover 4 day weekends. 1840 requires everything to be stored internally. No cloud.
1. Environmental Considerations: Aside from the non-recorded asbestos and toxins mentioned for Building 1840, are there any other known environmental hazards we should be aware of? NO
1. Hot Work Permit: Does the requirement for a hot work permit apply to both buildings, or just Building 1840? CE requirement for any location where KTR will be working on live electrical circuits. Pretty sure that does not apply to this project.
1. Performance Timeline: Is the 30-day estimated performance time for both buildings? 30 days is minimum required for SOW and PWS. We are flexible but sooner the better. Can work be conducted simultaneously, or is there a specific sequence expected? The government does not have a preference.
1. Coverage and Camera Placement: Could you clarify the expected coverage and specific placement guidelines for the 360-degree cameras in Building 1471 or are you able to provide building layout drawings? N/A to 1840 Figure 1.1 Parts List Equivalent. This table is for reference only and the brand name parts are not required. Please see responses for further guidance on equipment type and functionality.
