About this file
This technical specifications document is issued by the Seminole County Utilities Department for the 2024 Force Main Air Relief Valve Renewal and Replacement Project (CC-6021-24). The project involves replacing sanitary force main air relief valves at twenty-seven locations across Seminole County, including maintenance of traffic, restoration of impacted areas, and project documentation. The work requires replacing air relief valves using specific technical specifications, with installations ranging across various addresses in Sanford, Lake Mary, Longwood, Winter Park, Apopka, and other local areas. The project includes requirements for preconstruction documentation, maintenance of service, traffic control, excavation, and final restoration of work sites.
The Engineer's estimated project cost is $614,498.40, with bid documents available on the Seminole County procurement website. The technical specifications provide detailed instructions for contractors, including specific requirements for air valve assemblies, installation methods, materials, and performance standards. Bidders are required to follow comprehensive guidelines for product selection, installation techniques, and documentation, with an emphasis on using approved materials from the Seminole County Utility General Conditions. The project encourages M/WBE participation and requires strict adherence to technical specifications for air relief valve renewal and replacement across multiple county locations.
