About this file
This is a Cancellation Notice issued by the Georgia Department of Transportation for a Request for Quotes (RFQ) solicitation for Daffodil Bulbs. The solicitation, numbered 48400-DOT0002522, was originally posted on February 25, 2022, with Issuing Officer Andy Penick (APenick@dot.ga.gov) responsible for the procurement. The solicitation was cancelled on March 8, 2022, due to administrative errors. The Department had planned to establish a contract with one or more qualified suppliers to provide daffodil bulbs for roadside enhancement planting, with 23 varieties identified for the roadside enhancement planting season. The original eRFQ indicated that the Department selected Narcissus spp. of the Amaryllidaceae family as the most cost-effective, pest-free, long-term perennial plants available for use in Georgia's climate conditions.
All materials submitted under the cancelled solicitation will remain closed pending a potential new solicitation. If the State of Georgia elects to conduct a rebid, all suppliers will be required to submit responses to new bid forms and requirements for consideration of award. Upon issuance of a Notice of Intent to Award for any subsequent solicitation, all records will be made available in accordance with Section I.6 of the Georgia Procurement Manual regarding public access to procurement information. Interested vendors should monitor the Georgia Procurement Registry at https://ssl.doas.state.ga.us/gpr/ for any future solicitation notices.
