About this file

This document is an amendment to a cable contract between Menard Correctional Center and a cable provider. The amendment addresses questions raised by vendors, including the use of existing installed equipment, the inability to extend the bid opening date due to the time-sensitive nature of the requirement, and the fact that this is a four-month interim contract to be awarded to the lowest overall bidder, with a new, longer-term procurement forthcoming. The related state and local contract opportunity is for Menard Correctional Center to seek bids for cable programming services, with the contract being issued by the state of Illinois, Randolph County jurisdiction.

The pricing and contract terms are not explicitly stated in the document. However, it is noted that any additional equipment installed will become the property of Menard Correctional Center at the end of the contract, and the current cable provider is New Wave/Sparklight. The document also indicates that this is an urgent requirement, and the new, longer-term contract will be a separate procurement.
