About this file
This Scope of Work document outlines plumbing modifications, accessibility improvements, and facility upgrades required at the Tijuana River Estuary Restrooms in San Diego County, California. The project encompasses comprehensive work across the alleyway area and men's and women's restroom facilities. In the alleyway, the contractor must relocate drain lines for sinks, toilets, and urinals closer to the finished floor per code requirements while maintaining the existing underground main drain line; relocate eleven drain vent connections (ranging from 2 to 4 inches) to the south wall using ABS piping; convert two urinals to waterless units and remove associated plumbing; relocate Sloan flush valves to restroom areas; replace copper lines as necessary; evaluate and potentially replace the primary vent stack with ABS piping; and maintain existing lighting. Within the men's and women's restrooms, the scope requires replacing eight light fixtures (four can lights and four strip lights in each restroom) with energy-efficient, motion-activated units; replacing existing light switches with lockable versions; repairing or replacing the air handler access located on the men's side while cleaning and maintaining existing ductwork; potentially sealing flooring with garage-grade epoxy coating; replacing existing stainless steel sinks and toilets with porcelain fixtures while retaining five existing Chicago faucets and maintaining fixture mounting heights; installing six new porcelain toilets compatible with new Sloan valves in each stall; repainting walls and ceilings; preserving existing stall dividers; installing four new interior and exterior ADA-compliant doors with appropriate hardware; and providing gender-specific restroom signage in accordance with applicable codes.
The document does not provide pricing terms, cost estimates, set-asides, funding sources, response dates, bid submission deadlines, site visit requirements, bidder conference details, or award dates.
