About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for SSTG Lift Rod Thermal Spray Services under contract N4523A26Q0016 issued by Trident Refit Facility, Bangor, Washington.

The contractor shall provide thermal spray services on 10 SSTG Lift Rods using Metco 143 product in accordance with NAVSEA Technical Publication T9074-AA-GIB-010/1687 and TRF Bangor Engineering Memo 841/322M-11. Services include pre-machining to accommodate thermal spray application, surface preparation (pre-grinding), thermal spray application to the bushing seal area with ceramic coating, and rough grinding of coated lift rods to a diameter of 1.260"/1.261". The ceramic modification enables tighter clearance without galling to reduce steam leakage and eliminate galling typically observed on these lift rods. The contractor must supply all labor, tooling, facilities, equipment, consumables, hazardous materials, and personnel protection equipment. The required delivery date is 23 October 2026 at Trident Refit Facility Bangor, Shop 31D, Silverdale, Washington. The contract type is Firm-Fixed Price. Work shall be performed at the contractor's facility within CONUS. The Government will provide crating and ship the 10 lift rods to the contractor within five workdays of award; the contractor is responsible for return shipment and must provide tracking information within seventy-two hours of pickup.

Two Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) are required: a Conditions Found Report (A001) submitted within three days of lift rod receipt documenting any material discrepancies, and a Thermal Spray Record Form (A002) submitted within five days of thermal spray completion. All government-furnished materials, records, documents, and work papers are considered government property and must not be disclosed, copied, modified, or disseminated without express written consent. Technical clarifications and oversight are coordinated through the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), who will be identified by separate letter.
