The contractor shall provide professional preventative maintenance and annual calibration services for four primary thermal analysis systems: Discovery DSC 2500 System (Part No. 999800.705, Serial No. DSC24-03162), Discovery TGA 5500 System (Part No. 999800.559, Serial No. 5500-1116), Discovery Q1000/Q2000 DSC250 System (Part No. 999800.558, Serial No. 00034), and Discovery Q500 TGA550 System (Part No. 999800.560, Serial No. 0500-0016). Additionally, the contractor shall provide 4 hours of on-site technical support labor for connection setup, diagnostic checks, and system validation (Part No. 999800.500). All calibrations must be certified and valid for one year from the service date. Key maintenance actions include complete system inspection and cleaning, verification of gas cooling accessories and auto-sampler alignments, calibration using NIST-traceable reference standards, and validation testing to verify baseline flatness, sensitivity, and measurement precision. The contractor must deliver two formal deliverables: an Inspection Report (A001) and a Calibration Report (A002).
The contractor and assigned field service engineers must be factory-trained, authorized, and certified directly by Waters Technologies Corporation/TA Instruments, with demonstrated competence in servicing Discovery series DSC and TGA modules. All services shall be performed on-site at NSWCCD, 9500 MacArthur Boulevard, West Bethesda, Maryland 20817-5700, with a one-year period of performance from contract award. The security classification is Unclassified. Any replacement parts or materials must be shipped to the Central Receiving building (Building 143) during standard receiving hours (0600-1400 Monday-Thursday; 0600-1330 Friday).
