About this file

This is a Statement of Work for solicitation 1240LT27Q0017 issued by the US Department of Agriculture for Winiger Ridge Dispersed Campsite Renovations.

The project requires the contractor to purchase and install new picnic tables and bear boxes at five existing dispersed campsites (campsites 1-5) located along NFSR 359.1 and 359.1A on the Boulder Ranger District of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forest and Pawnee National Grassland. The objective is to provide enhanced recreation opportunities for dispersed camping in the Winiger Ridge area. Picnic tables must consist of concrete bases with three 3"X12"X10' planks, featuring #4 steel reinforcement with at least 1½ inch concrete covering, minimum 5,000 psi compressive strength at 28 days, broad leg bases for stability, and design capability to withstand 500 lbs/ft² snow load. Table legs must be "Davis's Western Gold" integral colored concrete or approved equal with powder-coated flat black exposed steel members and wood surfaces stained with Olympic Semi-transparent stain in oxford brown. Bear boxes must be Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee (IGBC) certified, constructed of 14-gauge galvannealed corrosion-resistant textured powder-coated steel with brown UV-resistant coating, zinc-coated hardware, and stainless steel piano hinges. Bear boxes measure 48"W x 40"H x 29"L and require installation on a 58"X40"X4" concrete footing with embedded ½" j-bolts. No government-furnished items are provided. All items must be delivered and installed by August 16, 2027, with any problems communicated to Forest Service staff.
