About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for feed silo maintenance services. The contractor shall perform cleaning, waste removal, and inspection of a 30-ton feed silo to restore full storage capacity and proper feed flow through the cone discharge. The work scope includes site preparation with silo isolation and confined-space entry compliance; material removal using mechanical or manual methods with tools such as pneumatic hammers, augers, vacuum systems, or high-pressure air/water jets; cleaning of all internal surfaces to remove residual dust and feed particles; and inspection with photographic documentation and written condition reporting on structural condition and maintenance needs. The contractor is responsible for all labor, equipment, personal protective equipment, and supervision, while the government provides site access, silo isolation from production lines, and disposal instructions for waste material.

Work must be completed within 60 days after contract award during standard business hours (Monday–Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM USA Central Time), excluding 12 federal holidays. All personnel must comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146 confined-space entry protocols and use appropriate PPE including respiratory protection when dust levels require. Deliverables include complete removal of hardened and loose feed from the silo and cone, verification that discharge flow is restored, and confirmation that the silo is ready for refilling. The contractor must also demobilize the site by removing all equipment, tools, and debris and restoring the area to a clean, safe condition for normal operations.
