About this file
This is a USDA specifications document (Attachment 1) for the procurement of a Titrator Excellence 7 Auto Volume System to support the Grape, Prunus and Citrus Breeding and Genetics Laboratories' chemical analysis operations.
The USDA-ARS requires delivery of one Titrator Excellence 7 Auto Volume System (Brand Name or Equal) to 9611 S Riverbend Ave, Parlier, CA 93645 by July 31, 2026. The system must perform fully automated, high-precision titration to measure acidity, alkalinity, pH, buffering capacity, and ion concentrations in plant tissues, juices, wines, soil extracts, and nutrient solutions. The complete system includes the Titrator Excellence 7 unit with potentiometric and polarized sensor inputs, Base InMotion Max automation platform with PowerShower™ automated rinsing, Rack Kit InMotion Max (570mm polymer-coated aluminum), DV1020ml burette, two pH Sensor InLab Cool electrodes, dDrive dosing unit, DispenSix liquid handler, manual titration kit components, LabX Titration Express software, pH buffers and calibration solutions, and consumable items including 30-piece sets of 80mL polypropylene beakers. The titrator specifications require measurement ranges of ±2000 mV (potentiometric) with 0.1 mV resolution, burette resolution of 0.5 µL for a 10 mL burette, and a 7-inch color TFT terminal display. The contractor must provide two training visits each for both the Titrator Excellence 7 and Base InMotion Max, along with extended care packages for both components.

Project
Titrator Excellence 7 Auto Volume System
General Information
1.0 Scope
The USDA-ARS Grape, Prunus and Citrus Breeding and Genetics Laboratories perform routine and advanced chemical analyses to support phenotyping, quality testing, nutrient profiling, and research experiments requiring precise titration.
Parameters such as acidity, alkalinity, pH, buffering capacity, and ion concentrations are essential for characterizing grapevine, prunus and citrus tissues, juices, wines, soil extracts, and nutrient solutions. Current manual titration methods are time-consuming and susceptible to variability, impacting data reproducibility and throughput.
The Titrator Excellence T7 offers (Brand name or Equal) fully automated, high-precision titration with seamless integration into laboratory workflows, improving efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory traceability.
