About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the Cranberry Mountain Nature Center (CMNC) Generator Replacement project issued by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA).
The project requires removal and disposal of an existing 45kw propane standby generator and 200-amp transfer switch installed at the facility in 2003, located at the junction of FR 150 and WV 39 in West Virginia (coordinates: 38.183539, -80.252786). The contractor must provide and install a new 30kw propane standby generator and 200-amp automatic transfer switch on the existing concrete pad, connecting to existing propane lines and the new transfer switch. All work must comply with applicable electrical and building codes, which supersede other documentation. The contractor must be licensed in West Virginia and maintain liability insurance. Two key deliverables are specified: (1) Replace Generator—remove the existing unit and ancillary components, legally dispose of all demolition materials off-site, install the new 30kw generator, test functionality, and provide staff training; and (2) Replace Transfer Switch—remove the existing switch and ancillary components, provide and install a new automatic transfer switch connected to the new generator, test all equipment, ensure code compliance, and train staff. Both deliverables are due at the end of the period of performance. Power disruptions must occur outside normal operating hours with one week's notice. The facility operates mid-April through mid-October with limited hours (closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays). The government will provide facility access during business hours (Monday-Friday 9:00 am to 4:30 pm) and restroom facilities. One week notice is required before onsite work, and no weekend or federal holiday work is permitted without written contracting officer approval. All government-provided property must be returned prior to final invoice payment.
