About this file

This is a Performance Work Statement (PWS) for the installation of an irrigation well pump system at a Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service facility in Edinburg, Texas. The contractor must furnish and install a complete 30-horsepower pumping plant with 4-inch galvanized discharge piping and electrical wiring, capable of delivering a minimum discharge capacity of 200 gallons per minute against a total dynamic head of approximately 400 feet. The contractor is responsible for all labor, equipment, materials, and services required for installation, including operational testing to verify the pump meets performance requirements and subsequent testing of the irrigation reel using well water to confirm adequate flow and pressure for irrigation operations.

The contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA standards, and ensure all work is performed by qualified personnel in accordance with industry best practices and manufacturer specifications. All materials must be new and defect-free, with all connections and seals properly verified. The contractor is responsible for site coordination, debris removal and disposal, worksite maintenance, safety compliance documentation, and providing a comprehensive operational test report documenting flow rate and pressure results. The project is complete upon full installation, testing, and demonstration that the pump system meets all performance, safety, and quality requirements, with any deficiencies discovered during testing to be corrected at no additional cost to the government.
