Work will include blasting and preserving the exterior hull, replacing zinc anodes and non-skid surfaces, cleaning and testing cargo tanks and voids, installing rubber fenders, conducting visual and ultrasonic inspections of the hull and cargo systems, repairing watertight doors and covers, repairing valves, preserving cargo piping, and air testing steel fenders and skegs. The period of performance is from August 1, 2022 to October 31, 2022. This is a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 336611 with a size standard of 1,250 employees. The Navy intends to award the contract in June 2022 on a lowest-price technically acceptable basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation.
