Wage Determination Summary
This is a Register of Wage Determinations under the Service Contract Act issued by the U.S. Department of Labor Employment Standards Administration Wage and Hour Division for Puerto Rico (Wage Determination No. 2015-5707, Revision 31, effective 8/27/2026). The document establishes prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits applicable to service contracts performed in Puerto Rico counties including San Juan, Bayamón, Carolina, Caguas, and 33 other municipalities.
The wage determination covers 180+ occupational classifications organized by occupational category codes, with hourly rates ranging from $9.46 (Furniture Handler) to $46.54 (Air Traffic Control Specialist, Center). All listed occupations receive mandatory fringe benefits including health and welfare compensation of $5.92 per hour (up to 40 hours weekly or $1,026.13 monthly), three weeks paid vacation after one year of service and four weeks after 15 years, and a minimum of twelve paid holidays annually. Additional provisions include specialized pay differentials: an 8 percent hazard differential for employees working with ordnance, explosives, and incendiary materials, and a 4 percent differential for low-degree hazard exposure. Computer professionals meeting exemption criteria under 29 C.F.R. Part 541 may be excluded from coverage, and air traffic controllers and weather observers receive night pay and Sunday pay premiums of 10 percent and 25 percent respectively. The determination includes conformance procedures requiring contractors to submit SF-1444 forms for unlisted occupational classifications for Department of Labor review and approval prior to contract performance.
