About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for OEM bed removal and installation of a CM truck bed on a 2026 Chevrolet 3500 HD single rear wheel vehicle (VIN: 1GC4KSEY1TF291258). The vehicle is currently equipped with a factory-installed OEM pickup bed and backup camera that must be removed and replaced with a CM Truck Bed Model 8'6/84/54/42.
The contractor is responsible for safely disconnecting and removing all electrical connections, backup camera, sensors, fuel filler, and auxiliary components tied to the OEM bed without damaging the truck frame, chassis wiring, or other components. Following removal, the contractor must inspect and clean mounting points, verify chassis measurements and mounting compatibility for the CM bed, and ensure all wiring harnesses, lighting connectors, and fuel filler components are properly positioned. The contractor shall then mount and secure the CM bed to manufacturer specifications and torque requirements, align and install the fuel filler neck, rear lighting, license plate lighting, and reverse sensors, and connect and test all electrical systems including brake lights, turn signals, reverse lights, and marker lights. A full quality check must confirm structural security, proper alignment, correct electrical function, DOT compliance, and proper clearance between bed, tires, frame, and suspension components. Work is scheduled to begin on August 1, 2026, with an estimated completion timeframe of 8-12 weeks. Acceptance criteria require the CM bed to be mounted to manufacturer specifications, all electrical and safety systems to function correctly with no fault codes or warning indicators, and the vehicle to pass final inspection by a government/agency representative. The contractor must follow all safety protocols and industry standards and obtain approval for any changes, unexpected issues, or additional parts required.
