About this file

This is an Invitation to Bid (ITB) announcement from the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) for bid #C006786 for Herbicide Supply & Delivery. The District is seeking a supplier to provide aquatic herbicide chemicals for the treatment and control of Hydrilla, with orders typically placed 2-3 times per year on an as-needed basis. The supplier must provide Safety Data Sheets and labels for chemicals purchased and complete Exhibit B-Product Table, with all herbicide equivalents being EPA-registered and approved for aquatic use. Products must be delivered directly to the site for immediate use since CFTOD lacks permit authorization and facilities for storing large quantities of chemicals.

The bid is being managed through PlanetBids™, a new electronic bidding platform that offers free registration and submission for vendors. The District maintains bid preferences for local vendors, veteran small businesses, and opportunity zone businesses on most solicitations. Vendors must register through PlanetBids™ to submit questions, receive notifications, and access supporting bid documents, though viewing documents is possible without registration. The platform is designed to ensure bid transparency by making bid information publicly accessible to all businesses.
