EMS Solicitation Q&A

1. Please confirm that 3.1.1 and 3.1.8 intended to say CO2 sensors.

3.1.1 And 3.1.8 intended to say sensors.

1. Please confirm that all controls need to be wired i.e. wireless will not be allowed.

All controls need to be wired, wireless will not be allowed.

1. Please confirm that there are (18) Pneumatic boxes and all of them need to be converted to DDC-electronic.

We are going to remove the VAV box replacement but want to change the pneumatic to electronic.

1. Please confirm a space temperature sensor is required for monitoring the generator room.

Not required at this time.

1. Please confirm the quantity of room CO2 sensors is only four (4): two (2) in meeting rooms, one (1) in RCC, one (1) in blue room.

Cannot be confirmed at this time.

1. Is plenum-rated cable acceptable in exposed office areas and above dropped ceilings?

Phenum cable is acceptable.

1. What are the controls requirements for the training room that is served by 2 Trane Units with electric heat?

The two trane units are controlled off the existing EMS System.

1. Please confirm that all VAV boxes are to be provided with state-of-the-art BACnet IP open-protocol DDCs, in lieu of the slower BACnet MS/TP protocol.
