The project involves renovating 71 bunkers covering approximately 54,000 square feet and expanding 15 tee boxes totaling 22,000 square feet. Specific renovation tasks include removing existing bunker sand, inspecting drainage, adding gravel, reshaping bunker edges, installing new concrete and sand layers, and planting zoysia grass. The tee box expansion will involve stripping existing sod, laser leveling, adding root zone mix, and installing new zoysia and Bermuda grass sod. The RFP was released on May 8, 2024, with a pre-proposal meeting scheduled for May 21, 2024, and proposals due by June 14, 2024, at 5:00 pm EST. The contract term is requested for 300 days of service.

The Town will award the contract to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder based on an evaluation of four equally weighted criteria: vendor's ability to modify processes, meeting project timelines, vendor performance and integrity, and overall proposal quality. The evaluation will be conducted by a committee of departmental personnel who may conduct interviews with finalists. The Town encourages participation from minority, women-owned, and historically underutilized businesses. Proposals must include detailed information about the vendor's team, experience, technical approach, and capabilities.
