Reclamation currently utilizes the Kenwood brand and has a need to replace and upgrade the current radios for the vehicle fleet. Currently Kenwood is the only mobile radios that meet both the P25 standards and the requirement of having the control head functionality of the microphone. Other manufactures were found with similar products however, the costs associated with switching manufactures would not be a cost benefit to Reclamation.
4. Determination of Fair and Reasonable Price. The Contracting Officer will perform necessary price analysis of all responses to the solicitation based on adequate competition.
However, additional price analysis techniques such as market analysis for similar items in the industry and review of current price lists or catalogs will be employed, if deemed necessary in further assuring that the government will receive the best value for its dollars.
5. Description of Market Research. Reclamation will be soliciting this requirement on the GPE as a small business set aside. Reclamation will continue to investigate the marketplace for future radio requirements.
