The initial contract term is three years with an option for one two-year renewal period, covering marine towing services for the City's Police Department and Marina Unit. The contractor will provide 24/7 towing services for vessels that are illegally docked, derelict, creating navigational hazards, or involved in criminal activities. Additional specialized recovery services are priced per foot of vessel length, including dockside vessel recovery at $125 per foot, inland open water recovery at $125 per foot, and Gulf of Tampa Bay recovery at $150 per foot. The contractor is responsible for all fees collection from vessel owners/operators, must maintain a secure impound facility within St. Petersburg, and is prohibited from performing repairs on impounded vessels. The agreement includes comprehensive insurance requirements, emergency service provisions, and detailed protocols for vessel storage, release, and potential sale.
