About this file

This document is a Scope of Work (SOW) for a booster system installation project at the Marseilles Training Center (MTC) in Illinois. The contractor is required to design, build, and install a booster system that will extend reliable communications to the current unreliable areas of the MTC facility due to line-of-sight issues. The project will cover any dead zones to the fullest extent possible. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for September 24, 2018, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest cost vendor who provides the solution with the greatest coverage area. The contractor must provide a 1-year warranty on parts and labor with an option to extend for 1 or 2 additional years.

The bid pricing terms are not specified. The SOW indicates this is a state and local contract opportunity, but does not provide details on any set-asides, incumbent contractors, funding requirements or sources, or other salient pricing information.

Booster Installation Scope of Work

The contractor shall provide complete installation on booster system for Marseilles Training Center (MTC). MTC currently has a repeater system with 3 frequencies. The current system has dead zones at the northern reach of the installation due to Line of Sight issues. See accompanied map for current repeater tower location, proposed booster location and areas of limited communication. The booster system shall cover any current dead zones to the fullest extent possible. The contractor will design, build, and install a system that will autonomously extend reliable communications to the current un-reliable areas, installing the system at the indicated facility in the North East Corner.

A 1-year warranty is required on parts and labor with option to extend 1 and 2 years.

A mandatory site visit is scheduled for 9/24/18 at 10:00am, this visit is mandatory to get an idea of current communication issues due to terrain and understand the terrain and foliage coverage that will increase the difficulty of the project. This site visit must be attended in order to be considered for an award of the subsequent contract.

The bid will be awarded to the lowest cost vendor who provides a solution for the greatest coverage area.
