About this file
This document is an addendum for the BL152-23 solicitation by Gwinnett County for the annual purchase of Particulate Blocking Hoods. The addendum addresses questions and answers regarding the solicitation. The contract is an annual agreement with renewal options for both the County and the supplier. The addendum states that the supplier can only guarantee pricing for one year due to market volatility and an upcoming change in the NFPA standard. Gwinnett County has indicated that they are willing to accept a one-year bid from the supplier. Bidders must acknowledge this addendum on the Bid Schedule in order to be considered responsive.
The addendum also clarifies that this is an annual contract with renewal options. Both the County and the supplier have the option to not renew at the end of a given term. No other pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements, or other salient information is provided in the addendum.

Addendum #1
BL152-23
Purchase of Particulate Blocking Hoods on an Annual Contract
Please see the below summation of questions and answers for the above solicitation.
Questions:
Q1. Due to the current volatility in the market today and due to the current NFPA standard due to change in roughly 12 months, we as a supplier would only be able to guarantee pricing for one (1) year. This would be beneficial to Gwinnett County as you will be able to bid when the new standard is out and would be able to take advantage of being in the current standard. Will Gwinnett County be willing to accept a bid for one (1) year only?
A1. This is an annual contract with renewal options. Both the County and the supplier have the option to not renew at the end of a given term.
This addendum should be acknowledged on Page 4, Bid Schedule Continued. Failure to do so may result in your bid being deemed non-responsive.
Thank you, Casey Beauston Purchasing Associate II
