About this file

This is Addendum #1 to solicitation BL019-22 issued by Gwinnett County, Georgia, revising the bid schedule for the provision of equipment and services for trash removal and disposal with chemical dispensers on an annual contract. The addendum requires bidders to replace the original Bid Schedule (pages 3-5) with the Revised Bid Schedule and acknowledge receipt on page 4R of the bid document. The scope of work includes seven line items: monthly rental of two trash compactors at the Gwinnett County Jail with installation, maintenance, and removal services; flat-rate hauling and disposal of non-hazardous materials (52 pulls annually); per-ton pricing for approximately 1,066 tons of waste; washout and sanitizing services (70 occurrences annually); state hourly rates for repair work (40 hours); and state percentage pricing above cost for repair parts not to exceed 10%. The contract is scheduled to begin February 15, 2021, or upon award, with an initial firm pricing period followed by four optional one-year renewal periods. Failure to acknowledge receipt of this addendum by returning the specified page may result in bid rejection.

All taxes, landfill charges, and costs associated with the purchase must be included in the proposed rates. Gwinnett County requires that pricing remain firm for the duration of the initial contract term, with non-responsive bid declarations possible for failure to maintain firm pricing. Bidders may propose percentage increases or decreases for renewal options, provided explanations are documented. The county processes payments electronically and requires vendors to select their preferred electronic payment method upon award notification. Formal solicitations must be received no later than 2:50 p.m. on the stated due date, with no electronic submittals accepted at this time. Firms on the Gwinnett County ineligible source list are prohibited from submitting bids or proposals.
