About this file

The documents are a series of utility billing notices from the City of Beaverton Utility Billing department in Oregon, sent to various residential and commercial customers regarding past due water, sewer, and surface water management charges. The notices include different stages of past due notifications, ranging from initial past due reminders to urgent shut-off notices and final collection warnings. Each notice provides specific account details, including the account number, service address, past due amount, and due date, with warning language about potential service interruption or account transfer to collections if payment is not received.

The billing documents outline the City of Beaverton's utility charge structure, which includes water use charges (based on consumption), water fixed charges (for meter maintenance), sewer use charges (based on winter water usage), sewer fixed charges (for system maintenance), and surface water management charges. Payment options are comprehensive, including online payment, bill pay service, mail, in-person payment at City Hall, and a green depository box. The notices also provide contact information for the Utility Billing department, with office hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, a phone number (503-526-2257), and an email address (UtilityBilling@BeavertonOregon.gov). Late payments can result in additional charges and potential water service disconnection.

Dear Customer:

Our records show that you are the owner, or the owner's agent for the property at the above service address. The customer for this address is the tenant. The tenant has also received a notice informing them that their account is past due. If the total past due payment is not received in our office by 5 pm on the due date listed above, their water service will be scheduled to be turned off immediately.

The City of Beaverton Code, BC 4.02.020, states if the water service is terminated for non-payment, water service to that meter will not be restored until the Full Account Balance (at the date of restoring service) is received. If your tenant does not pay to restore water, this will affect water service to your property until all amounts due and outstanding on the account are paid .

Sincerely, Utility Billing
