About this file

This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) document issued by the City of Lafayette, Colorado, for the Storm and Sanitary Sewer CCTV Inspection Program. The City seeks bids for a comprehensive sewer inspection and maintenance program covering approximately 20% of the City's sanitary sewer system and 33% of the storm sewer system annually over a 5-year contract term. The scope of work includes meetings with City staff, CCTV inspection reports, sewer cleaning and grease cutting, inspections, strategy recommendations, and all work must comply with NASSCO's Pipeline Assessment Certification Program (PACP), City standards, and OSHA and Colorado Traffic Safety Standards. The IFB was issued on August 13, 2026, with a written inquiry deadline of September 2, 2026, at 5:00 PM MT. The City will respond to written inquiries by September 9, 2026, and bids must be submitted by September 16, 2026, at 5:00 PM MT through the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System (Bidnet) at https://www.bidnetdirect.com/Colorado/CityofLafayette. No bidders' conferences or site visits are specified in this document.

Bids shall be exclusive of Federal or State taxes from which the City is exempt, and the City reserves the right to purchase additional goods and services at the same bid prices or lower within a reasonable period. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on pricing and compliance with specifications at the sole discretion of the City. Mandatory submission requirements include a signed IFB cover sheet, contractor's bid form, a written narrative describing methods and means of performance, listing of all relevant licenses and certifications, insurance information, a bid bond, and at least three reference contacts for similar projects. The awarded vendor must submit a certificate of insurance in minimum City-prescribed limits no later than five days prior to beginning work. Financial obligations payable after the current fiscal year are contingent upon City Council appropriation and budgeting. Vendors are prohibited from submitting more than one bid, and failure to acknowledge any addenda may result in disqualification.
