About this file

This document is a Bid Bond form for the City of Woodland Park, Colorado, related to the Centre Camino Overlay project. The bid bond serves as a financial guarantee that ensures the principal bidder will enter into a contract if their proposal is accepted, with the bond amount set at 5% of the total bid proposal. The bond protects the City of Woodland Park by providing financial security and demonstrating the bidder's commitment to the project, which involves a 2-inch asphalt overlay on Centre Camino covering approximately 47,472 square feet between Vaquero Senda and County Road intersections.

The bid bond includes an add alternate option for a 1.5-inch cold mill (asphalt removal) of the existing pavement surface, which aims to improve surface bonding and enhance long-term pavement performance. The project specifications require all work to be completed in accordance with City of Woodland Park Engineering Specifications and the 2025 CDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. The bond form stipulates that surety companies executing the bond must be authorized to transact business in the State of Colorado and be acceptable to the owner, with the ultimate goal of ensuring faithful contract performance and payment to labor and material providers.
