About this file
This document is a Procurement Justification Form submitted to the State of Illinois Central Management Services. The form requests the procurement of SATO thermal transfer printers, including 5 Model WS412 printers, 5 Model CL412NX printers, and 5 two-year extended warranties for the CL412NX models. The printers are used to print labels for taxpayer documents before they are batched. The request is due to the existing SATO printers being worn out, with repair not possible due to unavailable replacement parts and the lack of a service contract. Without the new printers, the Department of Revenue will be unable to label and batch taxpayer documents, which are not processed until this step occurs. In 2017, a total of 1,547,095 labels were created using these printers.
The pricing and procurement details are not provided in the document. There are no indications of any small business, business enterprise, or veteran's business program set-asides. The document does not mention any incumbent supplier or current contract information. The funding source and requirements are also not specified.
