About this file
This is a bid specification document for the Nevada Department of Agriculture requesting one new knuckle boom crane truck unit. The specification details a complete integrated system consisting of three primary components: a new COPMA brand knuckle boom model 198.3 crane with 19-ton lift capacity and 33'-8" hydraulic reach, a new steel flatbed measuring 11'-0" long by 8'-6" wide designed to accommodate 16 standard 1,000-pound Rice Lake test weights in a four-by-four configuration, and a new 2027 Kenworth T880 6x4 conventional cab truck chassis rated at 66,000/80,000 pounds GVWR powered by a Cummins X-15 500 horsepower engine. The crane features full hydraulic rotation with 420-degree capability, proportional radio remote control system, hydraulic overload protection, LED lighting, and extended outrigger beams with 21'-4" extension. The flatbed includes a 45-ton rear pintle hitch with air and light lines, full DOT lighting package, anti-slip deck coating, and integrated storage solutions including a three-door aluminum tool cabinet and aluminum toolbox. No specific response date, due date, site visit requirements, bidder's conference, or award date is provided in this specification document.
The bid specification does not include pricing terms, payment structures, set-asides, incumbent information, or funding amounts and sources. The document specifies that the crane includes a standard Copma limited warranty of one year on non-structural parts and two years on structural components, with service available locally in the Reno/Sparks, Nevada area. The truck chassis includes standard Kenworth warranties with the option to purchase extended coverage directly from Kenworth. The specification emphasizes that all steel components shall be sandblasted, primed, and painted black, includes specific equipment storage provisions such as six 2-inch ratchet straps, wheel chocks, and safety cones, and notes that no spare or extra tires are included in the specifications or quote.
