About this file

This is a bid sheet for grave relocation services in Magoffin County, Kentucky, under an FHWA ER Eligible project (P508). The project involves the disinterment, relocation, and reinterment of remains for four individuals—Ivy Jean Brown, William Brown, Guy Douglas Brown, and a large Brown Monument—to Prater-Preston Cemetery. The bid sheet contains 14 line items encompassing disinterment services, grave marker provision and installation, transportation of remains and markers (ranging from 5 miles per instance), reinterment services, ground clearance and brush removal (2 hours), and monument transportation and reset. Vendors must bid all line items to be considered for award. No mandatory on-site meeting is scheduled; however, interested bidders are required to contact Amy Ishmael at 606-291-9641 to view both the disinterment and reinterment cemetery locations prior to submitting their bid.

The bid sheet currently displays all unit prices at $0.00, indicating this is a blank template for vendor completion. The awarded funeral director will assume responsibility for opening and closing reinterment plots, seeding and strawing, supplying necessary equipment at both cemetery locations, pouring monument footers, and setting monuments. All remains are reportedly in vaults; however, the awarded contractor must be prepared to replace vaults if deterioration or damage is discovered during the disinterment process, with vault replacement costs addressed through contract modification. Vendors must submit actual bid prices through the e-procurement system, and funding is available through FHWA ER (Emergency Relief) sources.
