About this file

This is a bid sheet for RFB 605 2600000683 issued by the State of Kentucky for polypropylene barrier wall construction in Districts 11 and 12. The project involves mobilization, site preparation, installation of polypropylene bags in multiple heights (2 feet through 6 feet), concrete placement, traffic control, materials supply, erosion control, and equipment rental. District 11 requires 2,215 linear feet of bag installation across various heights (1,000 LNFT of 2-foot bags, 200 LNFT of 3-foot bags, 600 LNFT of 4-foot bags, 200 LNFT of 5-foot bags, and 200 LNFT of 6-foot bags), while District 12 requires 2,400 linear feet across various heights (1,000 LNFT of 2-foot bags, 500 LNFT of 3-foot bags, 500 LNFT of 4-foot bags, and 200 LNFT of 5-foot bags and 200 LNFT of 6-foot bags). Additional work items include 1,500 tons of 6-inch minus stone aggregate, 1,000 cubic yards of Class B concrete, 150 tons of Class III channel lining, traffic control, concrete placement via transfer pump or pump truck, and long reach trackhoe equipment rental with 8-hour minimums per delivery order.

Vendors must submit actual bid prices and response times through the e-procurement system and may elect to bid one or both districts. The bid sheet requires vendors to guarantee their years of experience in providing similar barrier wall services. Vendors must bid all line items for any district in which they wish to provide services. All work must comply with current KYTC specifications, MUTCD standards, and Kentucky standard drawings. Concrete must meet the most current edition of KYTC Standard Specifications, and traffic control must be certified. The bid sheet indicates that the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reserves the right to supply fill material using other master agreements rather than accepting vendor-supplied materials.
