About this file

This is a Bid Scope Materials List for a residential rehabilitation project in Escambia County, Florida, coordinated by the Northeast Florida (NED) organization for the property located at 2706 W. Baars Street. The scope of work encompasses a comprehensive home renovation including kitchen appliances (sink, faucet, range, cooktop, microwave, hood vent, and refrigerator), bathroom fixtures (vanity sink, faucet, tub, shower, toilet, and fan), flooring materials (luxury vinyl plank and carpet), a 50-gallon hot water heater, ceiling fans, various light fixtures, roofing materials, gutters, and windows with HVAC specifications. The project requires adherence to specific installation standards, including the use of new braided supply lines for plumbing fixtures, proper finishing techniques for trim and drywall, and square-edged laminate countertops with four-inch backsplashes. All cabinetry must be constructed from plywood or better with solid hardwood fronts and frames, and all electrical appliances must be EnergyStar approved with LED bulbs.

Licensed and insured general contractors in good standing with Escambia County are eligible to submit bids through the OPENGOV platform. New contractors with the county must provide a letter of insurability demonstrating compliance with insurance requirements. The County reserves the right to award line items individually for emergency services limited to roofing and septic or sewer work. Contractors are obligated to use products that are like, similar, or equal in value to those specified and must assume responsibility for protecting all surfaces, furniture, decorations, and homeowner property from damage during the project. Questions regarding the scope and bidding process should be directed to Scott Sanchez at NED by calling 850-595-0827 or emailing jssanchez@myescambia.com.
