About this file

This is a Bid Scope Materials List for a residential rehabilitation project managed by Escambia County, Florida, specifically for a property located at 7870 Herrington Drive. The scope of work encompasses a comprehensive home renovation including kitchen appliances (sink, faucet, range, cooktop, microwave, hood vent, and refrigerator), bathroom fixtures (vanity sink, faucets, tub, shower, toilet, and exhaust fan), flooring materials (luxury vinyl plank and carpet), HVAC components, a hot water heater, ceiling fans, and lighting fixtures throughout the home, as well as roofing and gutter materials. The project requires adherence to specific construction standards including the use of new braided supply lines for plumbing repairs, proper finishing techniques for trim and drywall work, square-edged laminate countertops with a 4-inch backsplash, and cabinetry constructed from plywood or better with solid hardwood fronts and frames. All electrical appliances must be ENERGY Star approved with LED bulbs, and contractors are required to protect all surfaces and the homeowner's property from damage.

Licensed and insured general contractors in good standing with Escambia County are eligible to bid on this project, with new county contractors required to submit a letter of insurability. The county reserves the right to award line items individually for emergency services limited to roofing and septic or sewer work. All bids must be submitted through OPENGOV. Contractors are obligated to use products that are like, similar, or of equal value to those specified in the materials list. The contractor is responsible for moving furniture, while the homeowner retains responsibility for its contents. Contact Scott Sanchez at the Northeast Florida (NED) office at 850-595-0827 or jssanchez@myescambia.com for additional information regarding this opportunity.
