About this file

This is a Bid Scope Materials List for a residential rehabilitation project managed by Escambia County, Florida, specifically for the property located at 219 Lenox Griggs. The scope encompasses comprehensive kitchen and bathroom renovations, including specified appliances such as a GE range and cooktop, Delta faucets, American Standard fixtures, and Whirlpool refrigerator. Additional work includes flooring installation (Shaw LVP and carpet), roofing materials (CertainTeed Landmark), HVAC components, electrical fixtures and lighting (primarily Hampton Bay and Commercial Electric brands), plumbing fixtures with braided supply lines, drywall repair and finishing, and countertop installation. The project also requires cabinet construction using plywood with solid hardwood fronts and frames, ceiling fans, a hot water heater (A.O. Smith), and bathroom ventilation. Contact person Scott Sanchez, NED, can be reached at 850-595-0827 or jssanchez@myescambia.com for project inquiries.

Licensed and insured general contractors in good standing with Escambia County are eligible to bid on this scope, with new county contractors required to submit a letter of insurability. The County reserves the right to award line items individually for emergency items limited to roofing and septic/sewer services. All bids must be submitted through OPENGOV only. The specifications require contractors to use like, similar, or equal valued products, ensure all electrical appliances are Energy Star approved with LED bulbs, employ proper finishing techniques for trim and drywall repairs, and protect all homeowner property and furnishings from damage. Contractors are responsible for moving furniture, though the homeowner retains responsibility for its contents. Specific material standards are mandated, including square-edged laminate countertops with four-inch backsplashes and side-mounted drawer guides for all cabinetry.
