About this file
This is a Bid Scope Materials List for a residential rehabilitation project managed by Escambia County, Florida, specifically for the property at 1953 Lansing Dr. The scope encompasses a comprehensive home rehabilitation that includes kitchen appliances (sink, faucet, range, cooktop, microwave, hood vent, and refrigerator), bathroom fixtures (vanity sink, faucet, tub, shower, toilet, and fan), flooring materials (luxury vinyl plank and carpet), a 50-gallon hot water heater, ceiling fans, and lighting throughout the home. The project also specifies roofing materials (CertainTeed Landmark), guttering, windows, and HVAC systems. The scope includes detailed installation and finishing requirements, including specifications for supply lines, trim work, drywall repair, countertops, and cabinetry construction standards using plywood with solid hardwood fronts and no particle board.
Licensed, insured contractors in good standing with Escambia County are eligible to bid on this project, with new county contractors required to submit a letter of insurability. Bids must be submitted through OPENGOV, and the county reserves the right to award line items individually for emergency services limited to roofing and septic or sewer work. The specifications mandate that all electrical appliances be ENERGY STAR approved with LED bulbs, and contractors are obligated to use like, similar, or equal valued products where specified brands are listed. Contractors are responsible for protecting all surfaces and the homeowner's property from damage during work, including the movement of furniture. Contact Scott Sanchez at Escambia County (850-595-0827, jssanchez@myescambia.com) for additional project questions.
