About this file
The document is a Bid Scope Materials List for a residential rehabilitation project in Escambia County, Florida, involving a comprehensive renovation of a residential property. The scope details specific appliances, fixtures, and materials for kitchen and bathroom upgrades, including kitchen sink, faucets, range, cooktop, refrigerator, vanity sink, toilet, shower, tub, flooring (LVP and carpet), hot water heater, ceiling fans, lighting fixtures, roofing, gutters, and windows. The project is overseen by Scott Sanchez from the county, with bids to be submitted through OpenGov, and is open to licensed and insured general contractors in good standing with the county.
The bid scope includes specific requirements for materials and installation, such as using new braided supply lines for plumbing, applying putty and caulk for trim work, using plywood and solid hardwood for cabinetry, and ensuring all electrical appliances are EnergyStar approved with LED bulbs. Contractors are required to protect surfaces and homeowner property during the renovation. The document emphasizes that contractors must use like, similar, or equal valued products, and new contractors must submit a letter of insurability. The county may award line items separately, with a focus on emergency services such as roofing and septic/sewer repairs.
