About this file
This is a Bid Scope Materials List for a residential rehabilitation project at 119 Brandon Ave in Escambia County, Florida, administered by the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA). The scope encompasses a comprehensive home rehabilitation including kitchen appliances (sink, faucet, range, cooktop, microwave hood vent, and refrigerator), bathroom fixtures (vanity sink, faucet, tub faucet, shower faucet, tub, tub surround, shower unit, toilet, and exhaust fan), flooring materials (luxury vinyl plank and carpet), a 50-gallon hot water heater, ceiling fan, lighting fixtures throughout the home, roofing materials, gutters, and windows with HVAC specifications. The project requires adherence to specific installation standards, including the use of new braided supply lines for plumbing fixtures, proper finishing of trim work, drywall repair and finishing, square-edged laminate countertops with 4-inch backsplash, and cabinetry constructed of three-quarter-inch plywood or better with solid hardwood fronts and frames. All electrical appliances must be Energy Star approved with LED bulbs.
Licensed and insured general contractors in good standing with Escambia County are eligible to bid, with new county contractors required to submit a letter of insurability. Bids must be submitted through OPENGOV only. The County reserves the right to award line items individually for emergency roofing and septic/sewer services. Contractors are obligated to provide like, similar, or equal valued products as specified and are responsible for protecting all surfaces, furniture, and homeowner property from damage during construction.
