About this file
This is a Bid Scope Materials List for a residential rehabilitation project in Escambia County, Florida, managed by the Northeast Florida (NED) organization at 8416 James Taylor Lane. The scope encompasses comprehensive home improvements including kitchen appliances (Delta faucet, GE range and cooktop, Whirlpool refrigerator, and Broan hood vent), bathroom fixtures (Delta and American Standard faucets, American Standard toilet, Sterling tub surround, and Broan exhaust fan), flooring (Shaw luxury vinyl plank and carpet), HVAC components, lighting fixtures (Hampton Bay and Commercial Electric), roofing (CertainTeed Landmark shingles), guttering, windows, and a 50-gallon A.O. Smith water heater. The project requires contractors to meet specific installation standards, including use of braided supply lines for plumbing, proper finishing of trim work, complete drywall repair procedures, square-edged laminate countertops with 4-inch backsplash, and plywood or better cabinetry with solid hardwood fronts and side-mounted drawer guides. All electrical appliances must be Energy Star approved with LED bulbs.
General Contractors licensed, insured, and in good standing with Escambia County are eligible to bid, with new county contractors required to submit a letter of insurability. The county reserves the right to award line items individually for emergency roofing and septic/sewer services only. Bids must be submitted through OPENGOV exclusively. Contractors bear responsibility for moving furniture while homeowners retain responsibility for its contents. All surfaces, furniture, and property must be protected from damage throughout the project. Contractors are obligated to use like, similar, or equal valued products when specified items are unavailable. For additional information, contact Scott Sanchez at NED, 850-595-0827 or jssanchez@myescambia.com.
