About this file

This document is a Bid Response Form for Community Unit School District #300 in Illinois, soliciting bids for district-wide weed control, lawn fertilization, and insect control services. The bid covers multiple school locations across the district, totaling 244.75 acres, with services including fall application of dry fertilizer, early spring pre-emergent treatment, mid-summer post-emergent weed control, liquid weed control, and insect control. The bid is due on May 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with a proposed start date of August 1, 2025, on an "on-call" basis. The district intends to award the contract to a single vendor and requires vendors to provide Safety Data Sheets (SDS) before chemical applications can commence.

The bid form includes detailed pricing instructions for vendors to complete an Excel spreadsheet, with options for different application types including granular and liquid treatments. The schools covered span various locations such as Oak Ridge, Carpentersville Middle, Dundee Crown High School, Jacobs High School, and numerous elementary schools. The pricing structure allows for base bid and mid-summer alternate applications, with the total acreage being 244.75 acres. The district is tax-exempt and requires vendors to comply with state and federal regulations, including prevailing wage requirements. Vendors must provide their company details, contact information, and proposed hourly rate for pesticide application.
