About this file

This document is a bid questions and answers file for the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire's Insulation Maintenance and Installation Services contract (EG-219203). The University seeks contractors to provide insulation maintenance and installation services, which may include applying pipe covering, insulating hot and cold surfaces, ducts and flues, installing protective coverings on insulation materials, and erecting scaffolding. The scope and volume of work will vary based on the University's project portfolio at the time of contracting and is not predetermined on a year-to-year basis. However, the University has insulation work already identified and awaiting contract completion to commence. The University intends to award the contract to multiple contractors as deemed appropriate, with assigned work post-award determined based on contractor availability and cost.

Bidders must submit hourly rates for labor and material markup percentages on the cost sheet as requested. The funding for this contract is exclusively state-funded; federal funding is not applicable. Contractors are not required to remove or handle asbestos, as the University maintains separate asbestos contractors for that specialized work. Award decisions will be made by the University based on submitted bids and other evaluation criteria.
