About this file
The document is a Bid Prices form for automotive batteries issued by the City of Gainesville, specifically for the Regional Transit System (RTS) and City Fleet Management. The contract is for a two-year period from October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2027, seeking to establish a reliable source for automotive batteries. The bid covers multiple battery types with varying specifications, including different BCI (Battery Council International) numbers, cold cranking amp (CCA) ratings, and reserve capacity (RC) measurements. The solicitation requires bidders to provide unit costs, core credits, and warranty information for each battery type, with a minimum 12-month full replacement warranty.
Pricing terms include firm pricing for the initial 6-month period, with the option for a once-per-year price increase supported by manufacturer documentation. The bid also requires separate itemization of the Lead-Acid Battery fee in accordance with Florida Statute 403.7185. Bidders must submit battery specification sheets and provide information on delivery times for both stock and non-stock parts to multiple garage locations. Additional requirements include the supplier being responsible for battery activation and proper disposal of used batteries and acid. The document allows for a discount on related items not specifically listed and seeks comprehensive pricing information for a wide range of battery types and sizes used by the city's fleet operations.
