Summary of Bid Package for 2026 Bridge & Box Culvert Erosion Control
This is a bid package issued by the City of Georgia for erosion stabilization and streambank protection work on municipal infrastructure. The project encompasses erosion control and stabilization efforts on six box culverts located on Cairo Road, South Pinetree Boulevard, Clay Street, MLK at Felix Street, Edgewood Drive, and Cassidy Road, as well as erosion control work on the MLK and Chatham Road Bridges. The scope of work includes installation of rock check dams, type 3 object markers, and rip rap placement in ditches and stream areas. This project is based on a deficiency report provided by GDOT to the City on a biennial basis and represents the municipality's commitment to addressing identified infrastructure maintenance needs.
The bid package establishes the framework for contractor selection and project execution; however, specific details regarding pricing terms, bid submission deadlines, project timeline, contract duration, funding sources, and award criteria are contained within the accompanying bid documents. Interested contractors should review all associated documentation, including any addenda, scope of work details, and special provisions, to ensure complete understanding of project requirements and submission procedures.
