About this file
The document is a Bid Bond Form for the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, specifically related to the ITB24-150-Hayward Park Walking Trail project. The bid bond serves as a financial guarantee that the principal (contractor) will execute the contract if awarded and perform all required contractual obligations. The form outlines the conditions under which the bond may be voided, including scenarios where the bid is rejected or accepted, with the surety (bond issuer) agreeing to cover potential financial risks associated with the bid process.
The bid bond requires that the surety company must be listed on the Treasury Department's current list (Circular 570) and authorized to conduct business in the state where the project is located. While specific financial details are left blank on this template document, the bond represents a critical component of the bidding process, ensuring the city's protection against potential contractor default or failure to fulfill bid commitments. The document is dated for the year 2024 and provides a standard legal framework for securing the bid for the Hayward Park Walking Trail project.
