About this file

This is a Bid Bond Form for the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, required for submission with bids on the Lakemont Center Drainage Improvements project (ITB-25-051). The project encompasses drainage infrastructure work including removal and replacement of approximately 13 linear feet of 12-inch HDPE pipe, installation of a 48-inch diameter manhole, bypass pumping and dewatering services, cleaning and camera inspection of 4-inch, 8-inch, and 12-inch HDPE storm pipes, and associated site work including landscaping, asphalt and sidewalk replacement, curb and gutter work, concrete rundowns, sidewalk chases, and erosion control. Bid alternates are available for single spot pipe repairs and cured-in-place pipe lining. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for November 4, 2025, at 2:00 pm, with bid submissions due on November 20, 2025, at 2:00 pm Mountain Time. The project completion timeline is 30 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.

The bid bond form requires a penal sum amount to be stated by the bidder and must be executed by both the principal contractor and an authorized surety company appearing on the Treasury Department's current Circular 570 list and authorized to conduct business in Colorado. The bond ensures that if the bid is accepted, the contractor will execute the contract and furnish a performance bond as required. The city will retain 5% of the contract value until final completion. Bidders must comply with the Keep Jobs in Colorado Act, requiring at least 80% of labor to be performed by Colorado workers, and must submit supporting documentation including the Non-Discrimination Assurance Form, Contractor's Qualification Form, and List of Subcontractors. The project is funded through the City of Wheat Ridge's Capital Improvement Program and will follow Colorado Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, 2021 Edition.
