About this file

This document is a Bid Bond form for the Ontario International Airport Authority (OIAA) related to the Taxiway S (East) Reconstruction Project in California. The bid bond serves as a financial guarantee that the principal bidder will enter into a contract if awarded, with a penalty of ten percent (10%) of the aggregate bid amount if they fail to do so within 30 days of contract award. The bond covers a project involving the reconstruction of approximately 51,000 square yards of Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) panels and 50,000 square yards of Asphalt Concrete (AC) shoulder pavement on Taxiway S, east of the Cucamonga Channel.

The project scope includes comprehensive pavement rehabilitation, involving demolition and replacement of existing panels, grading, crack and spall repair, joint sealing, paint marking, lighting repairs, and subgrade stabilization. Additionally, the project incorporates stormwater quality treatment improvements to meet California Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan requirements. The solicitation is structured with a base bid and two alternate bids, indicating potential flexibility in project execution. The bid bond ensures the airport authority's protection against potential bidder default and demonstrates the financial responsibility of the potential contractor.
