About this file
This document is a Bid Amendment Questions related to an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the Illinois Department of Public Health (DPH) to establish a contract for the purchase of X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) Analyzers and Resourcing. The IFB seeks to establish a 3-year contract, with no renewal options, for the DPH to acquire XRF Analyzers. The IFB does not specify the type of analysis the analyzers are required to perform, and the vendor questions have clarified that the DPH only needs the analyzers to test for lead in paint.
The IFB does not provide any additional details regarding pricing, set-asides, incumbent contractors, funding sources, or other salient information. The document indicates that the DPH is seeking to purchase an unspecified quantity of XRF Analyzers and Resourcing services for an initial 3-year term without any renewal options.

Vendor Questions to B-6761 – DPH Answer in italics “The bid only asks for: To establish a contract to enable Department of Public Health to purchase XRF Analyzers and Resourcing for an initial term of 3 years, with no renewal options.
It does not have any specifications as to what type of analyzer and what you are wanting it to analyze for.
Bottom Line is we need to know if they want:
1. Lead in Paint ONLY
2. Lead in Paint, AND Lead in Soil”
Answer: DPH only needs Lead in Paint
