About this file

This document is a bid addendum for Solicitation Number 6100056244 issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. The addendum extends the bid submission due date from July 5, 2022 to July 12, 2022 at 1:00 pm, with the bid opening now scheduled for July 12, 2022 at 1:01 pm. The procurement is for secure shredding services to be provided on an as-needed basis when the statewide contractor cannot provide service in the county where work is required. The service addresses will be identified in each request for quote, with service required county-wide. The projected annual volume of service is unknown as the contract is for supplemental shredding when the statewide contractor is unavailable.

Regarding pricing, the addendum states the Department may require a smaller shred size than the industry standard 5/8 inch to comply with program requirements. No details on pricing terms, set asides, or funding are provided. The addendum clarifies responses to questions from potential bidders related to the contract requirements and service logistics.

To All Suppliers:

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania defines a solicitation “Addendum” as an addition to or amendment of the original terms, conditions, specifications, or instructions of a procurement solicitation (e.g., Invitation for Bids or Request for Proposals).

List any and all changes:

Bid Submision End Date has been extended until 7.12.22@ 1pm. As a result, the Bid Opening will now be 7.12.22 @ 1:01pm.

Questions presented from a potential bidder:

•Would the Department of Labor and Industry extend the due date by one week and allow vendors to submit quotes on July 12?

Bid has been extended until 7.12.22 @ 1pm

•Is the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry willing to accept a 5/8" cut size, as per NAID and industry standards?

Yes, however, the Department may require a smaller cut to comply with program shredding requirements.

•Please specify the number of bins expected to be collected and shred each month?

This is unknown. The purpose of this contract is secure shredding services when the statewide contractor cannot provide service in the county where work is to be performed. This would vary based on the needs of the local DLI office(s) where worked will be performed.

•Can the Department of Labor and Industry please provide the addresses for facilities requiring service?

The service address will be identified in each RFQ. For the purpose of this bid, you will identify the counties where your business will provide service. Service may be required county-wide.

•What is the projected total volume of service expected in one year?

This is unknown. To reiterate, the purpose of this contract is secure shredding services when the statewide contractor cannot provide service in the county where work is to be performed. This would vary based on the needs of the local DLI office(s) where worked will be performed.

Type of Solicitation: Electronic Bid (SRM) - Review the Questions section of your solicitation response to ensure you have responded, as required, to any questions relevant to solicitation addenda issued subsequent to the initial advertisement of the solicitation opportunity.
