About this file
This is Addendum No. 1 to Bid 2027-01 for the Town of Montville, Connecticut, issued on July 28, 2026, modifying the original Project Manual & Specifications and Drawings dated July 9, 2026. The addendum pertains to pickleball court parking lot improvements at Camp Oakdale located at 20 Simpson Lane, Uncasville, Connecticut 06382. All bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum in their bid proposals to avoid disqualification. The addendum makes two primary modifications: inclusion of a Bid Bond form in the proposal section and specification changes to LED light fixtures. The LED light fixture specifications have been revised to require single head lights using GARDCO OPF-S-20L-730-T4W-AR1-UNV-FINISH with mounting brackets (OPF-RMB-OPF-S-HIS-1) mounted to existing 18-foot square poles, and back-to-back lights using GARDCO OPF-S-7L-730-T3M-AR1-UNV-FINISH also mounted to existing 18-foot square poles. The Site Lighting Detail on Sheet 4 of 4 has been updated to reflect these new LED specifications, replacing the previous luminaire schedule.
The addendum includes the EJCDC C-430 Bid Bond (Penal Sum Form), which requires bidders and their sureties to execute the bond as a condition of bidding. The bid bond obligates the bidder and surety to pay a penal sum upon the bidder's default, defined as failure to deliver the executed agreement and required performance and payment bonds within the time specified in the bidding documents. The bond becomes null and void if the owner accepts the bid and the bidder delivers required documentation timely, if all bids are rejected, or if the owner fails to issue a Notice of Award within the specified timeframe (not to exceed 120 days from the bid due date without surety consent). Payment under the bond is due within 30 calendar days of written notice of default, and any legal action must be commenced within one year of the bid due date and in a Connecticut court of competent jurisdiction.
