About this file
This is a Quotation Form Section 00310 for Royal Oak School District in Royal Oak, Michigan, regarding the modernization of vertical platform lifts at Royal Oak High School. The project involves the removal of existing vertical platform lifts and installation of new units, with work to be completed no later than August 26, 2019. Contractors must submit a proposed modernization installation schedule identifying specific phases including engineering surveys, submittal preparation, client approval, engineering and procurement, and installation of two vertical platform lifts—one in the Main Gym and one in the Auxiliary Gym. The quotation form requires contractors to identify proposed modernization components and technology for approval, list all major subcontractors, and provide a comprehensive project timeline with duration for each phase. Contractors must also acknowledge receipt of any addenda and confirm that their quotation represents the entire cost including all site conditions, code requirements, and contract documents.
The base quotation must include all engineering, labor, materials, transportation, services, and equipment necessary to execute the work, with an 18-month warranty and preventive maintenance included in the base price. The purchaser reserves the right to pay warranty maintenance costs either as a lump sum or on a monthly basis. Contractors must provide pricing for all requested items or face disqualification, and are instructed not to make claims for cost increases due to wage scales, material prices, taxes, insurance, or other industry factors except as expressly allowed in the owner's maintenance contract. The form permits two alternate quotations: a deductive alternate to retain existing lower and upper landing entrances and an additive alternate to provide a battery lowering system, both requiring lump sum pricing. The Royal Oak School District reserves the right to reject any and all quotations without explanation and assumes no obligation to enter into a contract.
